Version 0.3.4.2 Affection System

New version is out on Itch.io.

This one introduces the long-simmering Affection System, plus a lot of smaller updates, and a few quality-of-life improvements. The full changelog is below.

Rewind v0.3.4.2 Changelog
Additions:
- The Affection System is now in place. Interactions will earn the player Affection Points, and certain relationship statuses and events are locked behind these points. Information is available in the hints section of the mirror screen.
- Various small scenes have been added as affection milestone rewards.
- An additional threesome scene has been added into the poly relationship progression for players using the Dungeon Tent.
- Versions of the conversations surrounding Lani's racial curse have been expanded to include the Polyamorous Route.
- The Polyamorous Route now includes choice scenes to allow the player to opt in/out of group scenes (in most circumstances).
- There's now a pop-up to notify the player of a change in relationship status.
- Two new titles have been added: 'Affectionate' and 'Fire Resistance'. You can stir that pot, baby.
- Soul Box level 9 has been added (but no new items are in the game, so it's a bit of a slog trying to activate this one... I'll add more items in the next version).
- Variations on dialogue have been added for many every-day scenes and story events to account for learned knowledge, affection level, title variations, and romantic continuity.
- Mister Bacon.

Changes:
-  Auto-battle no longer requires a one-turn wait.
- The enemy version of Lani (the one you fight in order to party together) now levels up once every 10 days that she is not in your party.
- The Settings Menu has been expanded to include animation skip toggles (using the in-game cog button).
- Poison and Fire points are now displayed in the general mirror stats window.
- Lani can now be recruited without joining the Adventurer Guild first (requires Cat Person level 6).
- Event triggers have been modified to make use of the new Affection System, and the hints have been altered to specify when affection points are required.
- Added in-battle buff icons for food buffs (defense, attack, crit).
- Dungeon rewards are now 'discovered' when chosen, even if the player cannot utilize them.
- Food buffs in dungeons now last longer (based on Battle Junky title proficiency).
- Alterations in text and menus have been added to facilitate abnormal play-styles (title avoidance, skill avoidance, etc). Go on and break it; I'll forgive you if you tell me how you did it.
- Emergency healing in the dungeons now allows the player to choose every possible option and utilizes skill healing calculations to determine heal amount.
- Threadbare is now available even if players do not have the money to purchase clothing, and the purchase option has been added to purchase Lani's sundress outside of the date.

 Corrections:
- The Dungeon Tent now correctly heals your party after use.
- Potions used in battle now count towards Potionista title.
- Battles fought while 'wandering' inside dungeons after finding the boss door will now correctly count down the Dungeon Tent timer.
- The scheduler now correctly removes viewed threesome events so that the player doesn't get too tired.
- Watching Lani climb the tree on the same night that Clarice informs the Palace that you have found the clues no longer skips the palace event.
- Corrected an uncommon error that removed learned recipes after a rebirth.
- Corrected some calculation errors with attack and defense food buffs.
- Some movies were incorrectly named and skipped by the game (Lani's final sneak animations).
- Corrected some movies which defaulted to a blank screen after playing once.
- A negative money glitch has been corrected.
- Cock-a-trice enemies are now correctly counted in the kill lists.
- Corrected error that placed the targeting icon over non-existent enemies at the beginning of fights.
- Corrected error that caused player characters to be invisible at the beginning of fights.
- Corrected a rounding error when Lani is defending magical attacks. Defending no longer gives her negative magic defense.
- You are now paid for your patrol work on days when you find a clue.
- SO. MANY. TYPOS.

Gameplay notes: It is important to note that all existing saves will load with no affection points, so story elements and romance options may or may not be blocked for your current life. Once you die, all of those affection and knowledge stats will correct themselves and your playthrough should continue as intended. Again, ALL RECENT SAVES ARE COMPATIBLE.

Minor changes are peppered throughout this update, but there aren't a significant number of major additions. Instead, I've taken this opportunity to fill in continuity lapses that existed when players did things in an order than wasn't anticipated. The next update will be the last one before I begin work on the Academy... I'll make a post in the coming weeks to elaborate on the plans and timeline expectations for the next version.

Cheers.

W update, if it's possible, could you make a way or an option in the game to grind the titles faster, or there is a correct way to raise them fast?

Titles sort of come in three varieties: easy, medium, and 'not supposed to be finished yet'.

The stat grinding ones (basic strength, endurance, etc), and the resistance titles are basically just a matter of planned deaths. Making sure that each death earns a variety of titles is key to faster progression. Using dungeon rewards to level up titles is really only recommended for Programmer or highest-amount type titles (cat person, party planner, level destroyer... anything that counts amounts based on progress in a single life instead of cumulative over all lives).

Then there are the longterm titles. Party planner requires a party level over 250, which is intended to be earned with future party members. Cat Person is intended to be earned once higher level enemies are added. Fast Fingers requires a ton of critical hits (there are equipment items in the Succubus Dungeon's extra rewards intended to help with that).

If you'd like a more comprehensive guide, there are some posts in the tips section of the discord channel with all of the title requirements and some discussions on how to earn some of the more difficult titles.

thank you very much, have a wonderful day ❤️ i can't wait to see the parents reaction if i get almost all titles on max level
